A very easy solution you may want to try is to get more of an indigo hue, and paint over either the trees or the sky (your choice). Set the opacity to low (like 40 percent or so) and whalla- you have a whole lot more contrast and each of your elements can be appreciated separately.
Perhaps even give the pathway a different hue (the same as the sky?)
I hope you don't mind this constructive criticism. I love your artwork- and I want to make sure all the hard work you put into painting these stand out as much as they can.
